The Scarecrow

Well, after digging up my scarecrow drawing and scanning it in I got this very strong urge to color it. I just always liked how everything feels like it's delicately hanging by a thread and he could come apart any minute. This is my regular Photoshop painting technique with one very big difference: I killed the pencil lines. It's not quite the anal-retentive cutout technique from my Dragnet caricature, but it does have a little extra attantion to detail and design to try and make the color stand on its own without the line art.
